DESCRIPTION

This project focused on redesigning the packaging for govino’s drinkware lineup to be both eco-friendly and reminiscent of the company’s original packaging. The goal was to create updated packaging that aligned with the owner’s vision while meeting the company’s sustainability standards. The project involved gathering input from key stakeholders, designing line art, building prototypes, and attending printing press checks to ensure high-quality production.

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Packaging Design: Designed eco-friendly packaging that reflected the original packaging design from when the company had only two products. Created detailed line art for the new drinkware lineup, ensuring the designs were both functional and visually appealing. Developed prototypes for review, incorporating feedback from the owner, marketing director, and operations director.
• Project Collaborator: Worked closely with the owner, marketing director, and operations director to understand and incorporate their vision and requirements. Facilitated communication among all stakeholders to ensure alignment and gather comprehensive input for the design process. Utilized the original packaging as a reference to create updated designs that maintained the brand’s heritage.
• Quality Assurance: Attended printing press checks to ensure that the packaging colors and copy met the company’s standards. Conducted thorough reviews and quality checks throughout the production process to ensure the final packaging was of the highest quality. Worked with the printing team to address any issues and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired results.
• Sustainability Advocate: Ensured that all packaging materials used were eco-friendly and aligned with the company’s sustainability goals. Researched and sourced sustainable materials and production methods to reduce the environmental impact of the packaging. Advocated for eco-friendly practices within the design and production processes.
